Square Foot & Job Estimator ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application (Android Package: com.squarefoot.jobcalc) and our online calculators handle information.

Our core commitment: We operate on an offline-first principle. We do not require account registration, and your job calculations, client names, and project estimates stay entirely on your local device.

2. Information Collection and Storage

2.1 Local Project Data

All job data—including room measurements, materials, labor rates, customer names, addresses, and saved estimates—is stored strictly within your device's private local storage. We do not upload, sync, or transmit your estimate data to any remote server or cloud database.

2.2 In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

If you purchase a Pro subscription or license, payment transactions are processed entirely through the Google Play Billing system governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not collect or store your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or banking details.

2.3 Anonymous Diagnostic Telemetry

To improve app reliability, we may collect minimal, non-personally identifiable diagnostic events (e.g. app crash reports or feature completion counts). This data cannot be linked to any individual user or company.

3. Device Permissions

• Storage / Media: Required solely to save and export generated PDF estimate files to your device so you can print, email, or message them to your clients.
• Network Access: Used solely to verify Google Play Store in-app purchase status and load in-app product catalogs. Core calculation and PDF generation functions operate without internet access.

4. Third-Party Services

The app interacts with the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services & Google Play In-App Billing: Provides app distribution, updates, and secure purchase processing.

5. Children's Privacy

Our application is intended for professional contractors and general business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all estimate data resides on your device, you have complete control. You can delete individual estimates at any time within the app, or delete all app data by clearing app storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app.
